Weatherproof METAL 21 Code Access Control Kit with Power Supply and FAIL SAFE Lock Release

This Hard Wearing, Professional, METAL, Professional Code operated Door Entry Kit is ideal for people who want to control access to authorised personnel through a door by using a personal PIN code - when a correct PIN is entered in to the unit it operates the lock release granting access to the user.

This kit is supplied with a FAIL SAFE lock release (electric strike) that requires power to be applied to the lock for it to keep it locked and remove the power to open the lock (similar to a maglock), so if the power fails on site or the green emergency lock release call point is activated then the door will unlock making it particularly suitable for fire and exit doors, however, if you would like to lock to keep operating as normal through a power cut you can add a rechargeable battery (not included) to the power supply to support the system for a limited time through the power cut.

The lock release is used in conjunction with a 'Yale' Type lock known as a night latch lock (not supplied) that is either surface or mortice mounted and this type of lock release is suitable for inward or outward opening doors.
