The RTE001 is a plastic request to exit button designed for use on door entry or access control systems to open locked doors from the secure side of the door.  The request to exit button has a wide activation plate for ease of use and is supplied with a surface mouting back box for ease of installation.

The switch is normally open circuit going closed when the switch is operated.
